Per Server based plans:|
The following options are available:
Paid In / Unlimited Out & Dedicated Pipe methods:
You are permitted and recommended to link your servers together to your own switch and be supplied with the 1 Ethernet port from us. All traffic within your subnet remains between your servers and switch and therefore not calculated.
Data Block method:
Each server is required to be plugged directly in to our switch as the data is calculated on a per server basis. Customers wishing to transfer data between their servers without the data being calculated will require a 2nd NIC in each server using non-routable IPs and only those 2nd NIC's can be connected to your switch.
Customers on cabinet plans will be supplied with an Cat 6 Ethernet cable and will require their own managed switch. All traffic within your subnet remains between your servers and switch and therefore not calculated.
We do have purchase and rental options available for switches. We also highly recommend that switches be 'managed switches' for individual port control.
